Contextual Investigation

Through out the day it was made clear that our final resolutions were to be either dvd's, publications, books etc. However we were told not to think of the final resolution in form at this stage. After the previous blog post (where we broke down and created legiable and to the point briefs) we were told to split each word from the sentence and make a list of possible catagories for chapters in a book. Below is the first example of this process and my selection of words:

Words: Typography, electronic music, identity and album artwork.

Typography:

Legiability, readability, layout, scale, colour, type in publication, origins of type, type as signs, type as language, type as communication.

Electronic Music:

Music genres, the history of music, known artists, album artwork, the scene, music producers, the audience, the future of electronic music, distribuation, sales and design.

Identity:

Identity for web, for print, commercial identity, urban identity, the design process, origins of identity design, colour pallet, legiability, type, language, audience.

Album artwork:

Audience, client, type, language, colour pallet, images, distribution, origins of album artwork.

Now the task set at the end of this workshop was to produce a list of 3 book titles which inside will have 10 seperate labelled chapters (each). The titles are to be produced on the same sentence platform as the previous task. So here are my 3 titles and 10 chapters (each).
